Walnut Creek Office Opened by GoodWorks Insurance; Russo Named Regional President
First venture in California for insurance agency specializing in employee benefits plans for mid-sized, large employers. Profits to charity.
WALNUT CREEK, Calif.—GoodWorks Insurance has named Bryan W. Russo regional president and head of its new office in Walnut Creek. Russo specializes in employee benefits plans for mid-sized and large employers.
It’s the first venture in California for Connecticut-based GoodWorks Insurance, which plans to open several additional new offices in California and the western United States later this year. GoodWorks Insurance gives half of its profits to local charities.
“Bryan is an established expert in all lines of employee benefits and has established a strong reputation for both his expertise and his collaborative approach going back more than 20 years,” said GoodWorks Insurance Chairman Chad Yonker.

Russo was most recently a benefits broker in San Francisco. He previously served as a benefits consultant with Lincoln Financial in Walnut Creek and UNUM in Walnut Creek.
“GoodWorks Insurance is unique because it’s commitment to giving back to the community,” Russo said. “Their story appealed to me and I decided I wanted to be part of it. I think we can have a big impact in California.”

GoodWorks Insurance offers group medical, dental, vision and disability insurance, 401(k) plans and voluntary benefits. Fully insured and self-insured programs are available.
Russo provides consulting services that help employers design and manage their benefits programs while controlling costs and complying with changing state and federal laws and regulations.
A graduate of Indiana State University, he lives in Benicia with his wife, Rita, and their daughters, Isabella and Sophia.
