Walnut Creek Police Shut Down Some Streets Amid Possible Standoff
Police asked the public to avoid the area of Main St. between Parkside and San Luis.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — Police in Walnut Creek asked the public on Saturday morning to avoid the area of North Main Street between Parkside Drive and San Luis Road. Police were responding to a possible shooting, according to witnesses staying at a Motel 6, KRON4 reported.
Police were seen in SWAT gear and were possibly responding to a standoff situation, according to KRON4's Dan Thorn.
Police were seen near Interstate Highway 680, according to an alert send shortly after 11 a.m.
