Walnut Creek School Employee Arrested For Alleged Molestation

He's being held in jail on $12 million bail.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A Walnut Creek man who works at a school in unincorporated Walnut Creek has been arrested, accused of child molestation. The sheriff's office reports that 71-year-old Enrique Pina is an employee at the Palmer School, located at 2740 Jones Road in unincorporated Walnut Creek.

Pina is being held on suspicion of seven felony counts of child molestation. The alleged victim is not a student at the school where Pina works.

The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office said in a written release, "A report about alleged acts of molestation of a minor was recently made to the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office. Detectives launched an investigation and confirmed the female victim’s allegations."

Pina was arrested yesterday. He was booked into the Martinez jail where he's being held on $12 million bail.
