Walnut Creek View Or Provide Public Comments Online During Meetings

Speakers will be asked to wait for the their opportunity to provide public comment.

Members of the public may submit a live remote public comment via Zoom video conferencing. Download the Zoom mobile app from the Apple Appstore or Google Play. Or if you are using a desktop computer, you can test your connection to Zoom clicking here. Make sure that you have a working microphone and a web camera so that you are able to participate in the live streaming of the meeting.

  • Speakers will be asked to provide their name and city of residence
  • During this time of video-teleconference meetings, which are occurring pursuant to Governor's Order No. N-19-10 during the pandemic, the time period established by the Mayor for public comments is 2 minutes per individual speaker
  • Speakers will be asked to wait for the their opportunity to provide public comment
  • When the Mayor/Chair invites for public comment on the item for which you would like to comment on, please use the "raise hand" feature (or press *9 if connecting via telephone only) which will alert staff that you have a comment to provide
  • The Zoom meeting link, Webinar ID and password will be posted to this page just prior to the start of the scheduled meeting

Written Public Comments:

Members of the public are welcome to submit written comments prior or during the meeting. Comments should be submitted by email to PublicComments@walnut-creek.org (or via mail sent to: City Clerk's Office, 1666 North Main Street, Walnut Creek, CA 94596).

Written comments received two hours prior to the start of the meeting will be provided to the City Council/Commission and posted on the City website as part of the official record of the meeting.

Written comments received during the 2 hours prior to the meeting and during the meeting will be provided to the City Council/Commission and posted to the City website as part of the official record of the meeting but will not be read into the record. Prior to the City Council deliberation on the item, the City Council will be provided an opportunity to read the written comments received.

  • If you are submitting written comments on a particular item on the agenda, please identify the agenda item number and letter.
  • If you are submitting written comments on an item not listed on the agenda, please identify your e-mail/comment as a General Public Comment.
