Walnut Creek Woman, Lafayette Man Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide: Police
The two, ages 19 and 21, were found this morning at a home in the North Homestead area of Walnut Creek.

A suspected murder-suicide claiming the lives of a man and woman occurred today in the North Homestead neighborhood of Walnut Creek, according to police.
Officers from the Walnut Creek Police Department were called at 6:50 a.m. to a home in that area after reports of shots being fired and found two individuals dead from gunshot wounds, police said.
One victim is a 19-year-old female who lived at the residence with her family, police said. The second deceased individual, whom police called “the suspect,” is a 21-year-old man from Lafayette who previously dated the woman, according to the department.

“The investigation is still ongoing, but all indications are that this was a murder/suicide,” the police said in a statement, adding that, “There are no outstanding suspects and no threat to the community.”
Families of both individuals have been notified, according to police. The WCPD released neither the names of the two nor the street where the incident occurred.
