Walnut Creek's Draft Pedestrian Master Plan Is Ready For Review
Public meetings are also planned, so mark your calendars!

News from the city of Walnut Creek:
A draft of Walnut Creek’s first citywide pedestrian plan is now available for public review through Friday, June 12 at www.wcwalks.org.
The goal of the Pedestrian Master Plan is to make walking in Walnut Creek safer, easier and more popular. Special attention has been paid to improving pedestrian access to schools, to transit, and within the downtown, as well as open space areas, parks and neighborhood shopping centers.

A public stakeholder workshop on the plan will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, May 4 in the 3rd floor conference room, Walnut Creek City Hall, 1666 N. Main St.
Other public meetings on the plan include a joint meeting of the Design Review and Park, Recreation and Open Space commissions at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, and a joint Planning Commission/Transportation Commission meeting tentatively set for 7 p.m. Thursday, May 28. These meetings will take place in the 3rd floor conference room, Walnut Creek City Hall, 1666 N. Main Street.
