WALNUT CREEK, CA — Warby Parker prescription eyeglass and sunglass store is hosting a grand opening in Walnut Creek this Saturday. Visitors will receive a free Warby Parker custom tote bag with the purchase of any new pair of frames, while supplies last.

The store is an eye-catching historic home. According to Warby Parker, "After strolling the charming tree-lined streets of downtown Walnut Creek, we found just the spot to call home: the
landmarked Dole House right in the historic heart of the city. Of course, there’s a bevy of other attractions that drew us to this community too, from sprawling parks and Mount Diablo trails to bustling art centers and countless shops." The address is 1614 Mt. Diablo Blvd., Walnut Creek.

Downstairs you'll find Warby Parker's full collection of frames,handpicked books, and eyewear accessories. Upstairs is the eye exam suite, offering comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fittings.

Be sure to notice the murals painted by Mexico City-born Rafael Lopez —crafted with strong lines, geometric shapes, and a bold palette—starring a playful cast of bespectacled bibliophiles.

Warby Parker is also introducing a daily contact lens brand, Scout by Warby Parker. A three-month supply of Scout contact lenses costs $110.

The store accepts certain United Healthcare and Spectera vision plans. Eligible members can receive a new pair of glasses or prescription sunglasses for the cost of their copay, which is normally $25 or less. Warby Parker will also help with out-of-network reimbursement, FSA, or HSA.

The store hours are Monday through Saturday, 11 –7 p.m.; Sunday 12 to 6 p.m.
