“Every child deserves the opportunity to excel in school,” said Assemblywoman Baker. “Unfortunately, not every student has the proper supplies that will help them achieve their academic goals. That is why I’ve partnered with the Mount Diablo Unified School District and other community partners to help Stuff the Bus and ensure that every child has the tools they need to succeed.”

The Stuff the Bus campaign will provide donations of new school supplies to students who would otherwise go without the tools they need to help reach their academic potential. Individuals are encouraged to donate backpacks, binders, notebooks and paper, pens and pencils, rulers, calculators and other basic supplies.
“We’re grateful for the opportunity to have Mount Diablo Unified School District participate in an event like Stuff the Bus,” said Dr. Nellie Meyer, Superintendent of the Mount Diablo Unified School District. “These generous donations will benefit our students and assist them in achieving great success this school year!”
“The Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to partner with Assemblywoman Baker and community sponsors to encourage donation of school supplies for our students that are most in need of them,” said Jay Hoyer, President/CEO of the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce. “Supplies collected will be disbursed to students in need as they prepare to start school.
