Who Do You Think Should be Walnut Creek's Woman Entrepreneur of the Year?

Bay Area-based nonprofit is seeking public input on its list of female business owners from Walnut Creek.

The Women's Initiative for Self Employment has announced its nominees for 2010 Woman Entrepreneur Awards, and the nominees include 19 women from Walnut Creek.

The Bay Area nonprofit, the largest microenterprise training and funding organization, wants to recognize women business owners throughout the Bay Area for their contributions to their community and the local economy, and who are examples to other aspiring female entrepreneurs.

These nominees will be asked to complete an entry form asking for information about their business, including number of years in business, revenue, and number of employees. A leadership committee from each region will decide their area's Woman Entrepreneur of the Year based on information provided--and your endorsements. You can click here to find the ballot on the organization's website. Winners will be announced in August and honored at an award celebration in October.
