'Widespread Power Outage' In Walnut Creek: Fixed

PG&E is blaming an equipment issue.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — PG&E is reporting that a widespread power outage in Walnut Creek has been repaired.

The utility company blamed the outage on equipment.

Earlier, the Walnut Creek Police Department asked drivers to avoid North Main Street, between Treat Boulevard and Pringle Avenue, because the outage knocked out traffic lights.

At one point, 633 business and residential customers were currently without electricity. All power was restored by 2 p.m.
