“Ya Gotta Have Heart!” at the Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop’s Valentine’s Day Event

The dedicated member volunteers at the Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, that beloved landmark located in the heart of Lafayette, send a greeting to all Valentine’s Day aficionados. On Tuesday, January 24, splashes of reds, pinks, purples and whites will bathe shelves and display cases throughout the shop.

The red-aproned member volunteers warn that these novelties of love will virtually flutter out the door as if riding on Cupid’s wings, so you might want to arrive at 10 a.m. sharp! A selection of heart-shaped boxes, stuffed animals (some sporting hearts), decorative pillows and assorted home décor items will provide luscious eye candy. Likewise, valentine-themed plates, glasses, mugs and napkins will promise to dazzle your table as you embrace the Valentine’s Day spirit.

Your generous donations and purchases will improve the lives of those in our community who are vulnerable, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts. As for some well-deserved “me time,” browsing through the book section just might uncover one or two romantic novels looking for a home.
