Adaptive gardening expert, Toni Gattone will be at The Gardens at Heather Farm on Saturday, November 2 to share proven methods for making your favorite hobby easier on your aging body. In her latest book, The Lifelong Gardener (Timber Press, August 2019) the Gattone provides adaptive gardening techniques and tried-and-true methods designed to help eliminate the physical strain of gardening. Guests will find out how to use ergonomic tools and raised beds as well as how to make small adjustments like using kneeling pads to make gardening more comfortable.

Inspired by her own physical needs, Gattone, a Master Gardener and member of the National Speakers Association, shares simple solutions—from vertical growing to bins on wheels—that will help gardeners of all ages work smarter, not harder. Her message of empowerment will stir you to find joy in your garden for years to come. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event.
