Youth sports: Walnut Creek U-11 United Wins Mustang Stampede
It's the second tournament title for the team this season.

The Walnut Creek Soccer Club U-11 United is on a roll.
The team, which won the Cal Cup and finished third in the Santa Cruz Breakers Cups added another tournament title with a first-place finish at the Mustang Stampede.
The team started off the weekend with a 2-1 win over Santa Rosa Arsenal on goals by Nicolas Bland and Jake Gaines.

They follow with a 0-0 tie with the MVLA Jaguars 0-0 and then lost to the Mill Valley Fusion 1-0 to complete the group play. The United still advanced second in its group and played Elk Grove Everton, which came in first in its bracket and was averaging four goals a game.
A reshuffled of the lineup resulted in a 4-0 win for the United, which got two goals each from James Person and Ross Gruen.

A rematch with Mill Valley came in the finals and it was a dominating 2-0 result.
"We played the boys in their normal positions and completely dominated the game," coach Chris Rodd said. "Mill Valley only had three shots on goal in the finals."
Bryson Patterson scored the game winning goal in teh finals and Nicolas Bland sealed the game with a late goal.
The defense did exceptionally well all weekend. Michael Jacobsen, Kellen Dresdow, and Jake Gaines were the standouts on defense.
