2 Teens — Ages 14 And 18 — Shot Near Elementary School: Watsonsville Police

The investigation is ongoing, police said.

WATSONVILLE, CA — Two teens were injured Wednesday night in a gang-related shooting near a Watsonville elementary school, according to police.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired around 8 p.m. in the 200 block of Ross Avenue, in the area of Freedom Elementary School, police said. The victims, aged 14 and 18, were taken to a hospital and are expected to fully recover, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing, police said, adding any witnesses are asked to call Detective Rebecca Ramírez at 831-768-3354.
