3 Suspected Killers Sought: Salinas Police Release Video
The three male suspects are believed to be in their late teens to early 20s and were seen getting into a black BMW 3 Series.
SALINAS, CA — The Salinas Police Department is asking for the public's help in tracking down three suspected killers caught on a home video surveillance system.
On Oct. 26, officers got a call about a man down in front of a residence at 1135 John Street, across from Los Padres Elementary School.
The victim, 47-year-old Ventura Guzman Urias, had severe injuries to his face and head, according to Salinas police. He was transported to a hospital and placed on life support, but died from his beating injuries five days later.

According to the police investigation, on the date of his killing Urias was being followed by three males in their late teens to early 20s. The suspects were wearing hooded sweatshirts and blue jeans.
After leaving Urias dying on the street, the three suspects fled west on John Street to a parked vehicle at McGowan. Police believe the car was a black BMW 3 Series 2012 model or newer with tinted side windows.

The attached surveillance video shows the three suspects shortly before the attack. Police are hoping the public can help identify them.
"Although in the video it is difficult to see faces, we are hoping that someone recognizes clothing, mannerisms or anything else that might assist us with this investigation," the SPD said.
