$32K, Meth, Marijuana Seized During Arrest: Watsonville Cops
Police said Ruben Lopez was out on bail for another drug sales case.
WATSONVILLE, CA — A Watsonville man out on bail from jail was arrested on suspicion of selling drugs from his car, police officials said. Officers contacted the suspect as he sat in his car, which was parked in the 100 block of Grant Ave.
Police said the suspect, later identified as Ruben Lopez, was found to have bag of marijuana sitting on the backseat. Officers searched the car and Lopez and allegedly found methamphetamine, marijuana, drug packaging materials, a bank bag and $28,000. Lopez was arrested.
Officers conducted a search of his home and allegedly found another $4,000. Lopez was booked into the the Santa Cruz County Jail.
