6 PVUSD Campuses Close Due To Power Outage

WATSONVILLE, CA — Six schools closed Monday in the Pajaro Valley Unified School District due to the ongoing PG&E power outages. Aptos High School, Aptos Junior High School, Valencia Elementary School, Rio Del Mar Elementary School, Calabasas Elementary School, and Bradley Elementary School are all closed. District officials plan to provide an update later in the day to determine if classes will resume on Tuesday.

PG&E has advised officials that it may shut down power again Tuesday due to extreme fire conditions. Additionally, smoke from the nearby Kincade Fire and other wild land blazes prompted a Spare the Air alert Monday.
