• One arrested after vehicle crashes into Watsonville business, yields 3 injuries (santacruzsentinel.com) — A suspected DUI crash sent an SUV across Freedom Boulevard into the 98 Cents Store window in Watsonville, injuring three people and forcing officials to close the road for investigation. The building has been red-tagged as unsafe, and the 73-year-old driver was arrested on charges of driving under the influence causing serious bodily injury, though all victims are expected to recover.
   

• Special teams miscues prove costly for St. Francis (fresnobee.com) — St. Francis High's football team in Watsonville fell 20-0 at home to Greenfield after several costly special teams mistakes, including a blocked field goal and two blocked punts. Despite the loss, coaches praised senior lineman Rodrigo Abundes Hernandez's strong return from injuries, and the Sharks now look to regroup for Thursday night's road game at Everett Alvarez in Salinas.
   

• Amber Alert issued for 14-year-old in Baby Angelita investigation (pajaronian.com) — Authorities have issued an Amber Alert tied to the death of "Baby Angelita," the newborn found along Struve Road near Watsonville last month, and are urgently searching for 14-year-old Diana Galvez Ortega and her father. Investigators say Diana is considered a victim and in danger, and ask Watsonville-area residents to call 911 immediately if they spot the pair or a white Nissan Altima without license plates.
