Pedro Martin Returns to Watsonville Roots in 'Mexikid Dreams' (goodtimes.sc) — A former Watsonville farmworker kid turned graphic novelist is back in the spotlight, drawing on his childhood in local strawberry fields for his new book, Mexikid Dreams. He'll discuss the memoir-style story of immigrant family life, hard fieldwork, and big artistic dreams at a free Bookshop Santa Cruz event, in conversation with Watsonville writer Jaime Cortez.
