Pajaro Valley teachers union ratifies tentative agreement with school district (santacruzsentinel.com) — Teachers in Pajaro Valley Unified, which serves Watsonville schools, have overwhelmingly ratified a tentative contract that preserves current health benefits, raises salaries, and adds classroom support like kindergarten aides. The deal now awaits final approval from the district's Board of Trustees, with terms expected to run through 2028 if adopted.

4. Pedro Martin Returns to Watsonville Roots in 'Mexikid Dreams' (goodtimes.sc) — A former Watsonville farmworker kid turned graphic novelist is back in the spotlight, drawing on his childhood in local strawberry fields for his new book, Mexikid Dreams. He'll discuss the memoir-style story of immigrant family life, hard fieldwork, and big artistic dreams at a free Bookshop Santa Cruz event, in conversation with Watsonville writer Jaime Cortez.
