The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch later this week, with triple-digit temperatures in the forecast elsewhere.

BAY AREA, CA — The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch this weekend, meaning Bay Area residents seeking respite from scorching temperatures may flock to cooler coastal areas.
The watch is in place from 11 a.m. Saturday to 9 p.m. Monday, according to NWS. Hot and dry conditions are in the forecast as pressure high builds over the Bay.
Interior parts of the region could see temperatures as high as 105 degrees, while much of the Bay Area will likely stay between 85 to 95 degrees, NWS forecast. Coastal areas should see temperatures from 65 to 80 degrees.
