Man Accused Of Arson In Connection To Big Sur Dolan Fire
A Fresno man was arrested Wednesday in connection to the Dolan Fire, which has burned 4,000 acres.

A man was arrested on arson charges in connection to the Big Sur Dolan Fire, which has now burned at least 4,000 acres with 0% containment. The man was detained near the origin of the fire near John Little State Reserve Wednesday afternoon, according to the Monterey County Sheriff.
Fresno resident Ivan Gomez, 30, was booked at the Monterey County Jail and held on $2 million bail.
According to the Monterey County Jail's website, Gomez was arrested for arson on forest land, throwing something with the intention of great bodily harm at a vehicle and growing marijuana plants illegally.

"There’s enough probable cause to arrest him on the charges he’s been arrested for," said Monterey County Sheriff's Sgt. Brian Irons.
The investigation for the arson charges will be ongoing with CalFire and the Monterey County Sheriff's Department.
