City Council Reconsiders Meeting Times

The Watsonville City Council will take another look at its meeting times Tuesday evening.
In May, the council had a long discussion about but the proposal to start meetings earlier was not well-received by the community. It was rejected.
Instead, it was decided that meetings will remain at 6:30 p.m. with closed session at 5:30 p.m. The infrequently scheduled 4 or 4:30 p.m. meetings were eliminated.

Council Member Daniel Dodge has asked that the council reconsider cutting the earlier meetings, so the matter will be discussed again.

Started in 1935, Pied Piper would bring 10 employees to the new Watsonville office, according to the city staff report.
