City of Watsonville to Resume Work on College Rd. Project
Water leaks and new service installations interrupted the work but staff will resume work on this project on Monday, March 30th.
The City of Watsonville began the Water Main Replacement Project on College Rd. in January of this year and was scheduled to be completed at the end of March. This project is part of the City’s Water Main Replacement Program to replace miles of aging water pipelines for our community.
The Water Services Division stopped work on the College Road Project to tend to new and unexpected service calls. With leaks throughout town as well as new service connections to be installed, the Water Services Division has been busy prioritizing its work. New service connections include the Tractor Supply Company that will be located on Auto Center Dr., and the new alternative school being built on Green Valley Road. Both the Tractor Supply Company and the new school are big service installation jobs for the Division.
The Water Division will resume work on the College Road Project on Monday, March 30th with the end of April as the new expected completion date.
