Permanent Local Housing Allocation Program

The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) has announced that the County can apply for approximately $3.3 million in Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) funds over five years. The purpose of the PLHA Program is to help local governments to address their housing needs. This funding is from the Building Homes and Jobs Trust Fund (Fund).

To obtain these funds, the County must develop a Five-Year Plan showing its intended uses of the funds, and seek public comment on that Plan before submitting it to HCD. The draft Plan is available for review and comment through an online survey available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/S7KCNC9, or by sending an email to request the survey link to Housing Programs info@santacruzcounty.us by Thursday May 28 at 5 p.m.Public comments will be incorporated into the June 16, 2020, public hearing materials to be considered by the Board of Supervisors.
