Downtown Watsonville Fire Sends Person To Trauma Center: Report
Dozens were displaced in the fire sparked Wednesday afternoon, KSBW reported.

WATSONVILLE, CA — One person was hospitalized at a trauma center and dozens were displaced in an apartment fire Wednesday afternoon in downtown Watsonville, KSBW reported.
The Watsonville Fire Department confirmed a report of a building on fire around 1:15 p.m., the fire department reported on smartphone app PulsePoint. The fire was sparked at the Wall Street Inn at 30 W. Beach Street, near Watsonville Plaza.
The fire started in a fourth-floor unit, but was contained thanks to sprinklers, KSBW reported. An electrician working down the hallway from the unit where the fire was sparked told the station he dragged the fire victim away from the blaze.

Firefighters remained on scene for nearly eight hours, according to PulsePoint.
