Earthquake Rattles Central California

The preliminary magnitude was 4.0, since downgraded to 3.9.

CENTRAL CALIFORNIA — A magnitude 3.9 earthquake rattled central California at 8:21 Tuesday morning. Did you feel it?

According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter was Tres Pinos.

It was strongly felt in Hollister, Salinas, Monterey, Santa Cruz and Carmel, according to responses to the USGS "Did You Feel It" report.
