Gun Drawn During Meeting To Solicit Sex Services, Police Say

A man trying to solicit paid sex had a gun drawn on him after telling a woman that he would not pay the price they agreed on, police said.

WATSONVILLE, CA β€” A man and a woman were arrested after a motel room quarrel that resulted in a gun being drawn on another man late Sunday night, the Watsonville Police Department said.

A 23-year-old man went to a motel room in the 100 block of Silver Leaf Drive after soliciting sex services online, police said. The man met up with Tianna Mitchell, 19, of Sacramento and told her that he did not want to pay the amount they previously agreed on, police said.

She stepped out of the room to make a call and Jose Aranda, 23, of Sacramento walked in, police said. Aranda pulled a gun on the young man, police said.

Officers said they were called to the room around 11:30 p.m. and recovered two loaded guns.

Aranda was arrested on suspicion of gun charges and Mitchell was arrested on suspicion of prostitution and conspiracy to commit a crime charges, police said.

The Santa Cruz County District Attorney's Office will decide whether the man who was soliciting sex services will face charges.
