JUST IN: 1 Killed In Hwy 101 Crash

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA – At least one person died this morning in a solo crash on southbound U.S. Highway 101 just outside Gonzales, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 5:14 a.m. on the highway at the Alta Street offramp in unincorporated Monterey County, CHP officials said.

Details about the crash were not immediately available.

The southbound lanes of the highway were initially closed but have since reopened, according to a CHP dispatcher.
