Getaway Driver In Attempted Murder Arrested, Police Say
Watsonville police say the man is a known gang member who drove the getaway car after a 2017 shooting. He was arrested in Santa Cruz.
WATSONVILLE, CA β Watsonville police said Thursday that they've arrested the third and final outstanding suspects in connection with a 2017 attempted murder case.
Armando Rodriguez, 23, was arrested Thursday morning on the 700 block of N. Branciforte Avenue in Santa Cruz, police said. Rodriguez is a known gang member who drove the getaway car to help shooters Alejandro Flores and Jacob Hernandez flee the crime scene, police said.
Flores and Jacob were arrested in 2017 and remain in county jail awaiting trial. They fired several shots at a man, police said.

A third suspect connected to a 2017 attempted murder in Watsonville has been arrested.
Armando Rodriguez, 23, was taken into custody this morning on the 700 block of N. Branciforte Avenue in Santa Cruz.
