WATSONVILLE, CA — A Los Banos man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder of a woman and teenage girl in Watsonville, police said.Raul R. Morales, 35, was arrested in his hometown after a Sunday night shooting that left the woman and girl in critical condition, according to the Watsonville Police Department.Police believe the shooting occurred after a dispute between Morales and his girlfriend's family at a house on Cereze Street. The victims are being treated at a trauma center outside of Santa Cruz County, police said. Morales was arrested in Los Banos less than eight hours after the shooting and booked into Santa Cruz County Jail Monday, with some help from the Merced County Sheriff's Office and Los Banos Police Department.He was also arrested on suspicion of charges related to shooting in an inhabited home, assaulting a person with a semiautomatic gun and more, jail records show.He remained in custody as of Wednesday morning.
