Man Who Owes $139K In Child Support Sentenced To Jail

The 51-year-old from Salinas must serve 6 months, judge said.

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA – A Monterey County Superior Court judge sentenced a Salinas man to six months in jail earlier this month for failing to pay child support, according to the county's Department of Child Support Services.

After the judge gave Anthony Zeidler, 51, his sentence, he was immediately remanded into custody, DCSS officials said.

The sentencing was a result of Zeidler's third violation of probation by failing to pay child support.

Zeidler was initially sentenced to three years probation in March 2014 for failing to pay child support. The terms of his probation required that he not only pay child support, but also seek and maintain employment and report his job search efforts to the child support services department, DCSS officials said.
