The Salinas Californian reported that a mariachi band came out to honor more than 100 farmworkers on Cinco de Mayo.

WATSONVILLE, CA — A mariachi band played for more than 100 socially distanced farmworkers working in strawberry fields at Sierra Farms in Watsonville, the Salinas Californian reported.

Band Nuevo Jalisco serenaded the workers as a line of 10 cars drove by to thank them for their work, the paper reported. Farmworkers pulled up chairs to enjoy the music as mariachis walked through rows of strawberry plants, the Salinas Californian wrote.
