Martinelli's Launches Nationwide Recall

The FDA announced that Watsonville-based Martinelli's recalled sparkling ciders and grape drinks. Check the dates of the recalled bottles.

Watsonville-based Martinelli’s has launched a major recall of sparkling beverages because they may contain glass fragments.

The recalled drinks include Martinelli’s 8.4 oz. mini glass bottles of Gold Medal Sparkling Cider, Sparkling Cider Northwest Blend, Sparkling White Grape, and Sparkling Red Grape.

They all have a “Best Before” date after March 1, 2018, but before September 12, 2018, on the front label of the bottle.

According to the FDA, “The company announced this recall after internal testing identified the potential for some bottles to chip when being opened.”

The recalled bottles are being removed from store shelves. If you’ve already purchased them, return them to the store for a full refund.
