From PVUSD: On Wednesday February 13, the Board of Trustees welcomed Ms. Lauren Adcock as Manager of Payroll and Benefits and Ruth Gonzalez as Manager or Risk and Safety. The Board approved Ms. Lauren Adcock’s promotion to Manager of Payroll and Benefits. Ms. Adcock began her career with PVUSD as a Payroll Technician in 2012 and moved into a Payroll Analyst position in 2017. Ms. Adcock has shown her strong analytical abilities through the many changes in payroll laws over the past several years and has been instrumental in the implementation of the District’s financial system that crosses many departments. As PVUSD moves into another financial system implementation, we look forward to Ms. Adcock leading the payroll and benefits department in this endeavor.
We are pleased to announce Ms. Ruth Gonzalez's appointment to Manager of Risk and Safety. Ms. Gonzalez brings to the PVUSD a wide breadth of experience in both risk and safety. Ms. Gonzalez has worked in Human Resources where she was in charge of creating safety training programs, conducting accident investigations, and developing and implementing a variety of standard operating procedures. Ms. Gonzalez successfully completed her Juris Doctorate from the Monterey College of Law and has worked for a local law office where she performed legal research and analysis. Her work included collaborating with employers regarding OSHA cases and workers' compensation. Ms. Gonzalez graduated from Watsonville High School and has returned to serve our community and District as an exceptional talent in the role of Risk and Safety Manager. On behalf of our Superintendent and district administration, we welcome Ms. Adcock and Ms. Gonzalez.
