Motorcyclist Killed in Crash Near Hwy 101
BREAKING: The 25-year-old from Gilroy collided with a truck near Rucker, CHP said.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA – A Gilroy man was killed when he crashed his motorcycle into a pickup truck in Rucker on Sunday afternoon, California Highway Patrol officers said.
The 25-year-old motorcyclist, identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office as Ismael Loza, was traveling east on a black 2005 Honda CBR600RR on Masten Avenue just west of U.S. Highway 101 and north of Gilroy.
A 19-year-old San Martin man was driving a white 2006 Ford Ranger west on Masten Avenue at 10 mph in the left turn lane when he steered left toward the southbound on-ramp to Highway 101.

While the Ranger was traveling across the eastbound lane, Loza crashed into its right front fender. Fire and emergency crews administered CPR and first aid before pronouncing Loza dead at the scene, CHP officers
said.
The Ranger driver suffered only minor abrasions.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to have been factors in the crash, which CHP officers are still investigating.
