A new benefit for honorably discharged veterans will be offered starting November 11, 2017. The ON-LINE military exchange system shopping service will be available to honorably discharged veterans.
There is no sales tax and the prices are competitive. There is free shipping on orders over $49. The on post stores and services are still not available to veterans.
The big savings is on the prices for over-the-counter medicines like omeprezole, vitamins, and cold remedies. Prices are competitive to the cost at most drug stores. The exchange has a large number of consumer items as well as tools and camping gear.

The exchange links to other stores that offer discounts to military and now former military. For books, the exchange links to Books-A-Million (BAM) for discounted books with no sales tax. There are no refunds for ebooks, and not all readers will work with all ebooks.
To use the exchange, users must be verified as active duty or veteran. The exchange has a link to vetverify.org and it is a good idea to do this early, as a rush is expected November 11, 2017.
