Pajaro Valley Shelter Services Plans Mother's Day Fun Run
The shelter hopes to raise $80,000 through a 5K/1K Mother's Day run and walk at Pinto Lake County Park.
WATSONVILLE, CA — Here's something to make Mom proud: helping those in need.
Pajaro Valley Shelter Services, which has provided families in need with housing and supportive services for over 36 years, is sponsoring its annual Mother’s Day Run & Walk at Pinto Lake County Park.
The 5K/1K walk and race, which takes place along the scenic lakeside trails, aims to raise $80,000 to further the shelter’s mission of moving families from homelessness to self-sufficiency.

The 1K Kid’s Fun starts at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, May 8, while the 5K Run and Walk starts at 8 a.m. Overall and age group awards will be presented after each race.
