Pedestrian Flown To Trauma Center After Collision With Vehicle At Watsonville Intersection
BREAKING: Initial report from CHP said the individual died after the Saturday accident.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA β California Highway Patrol officials said a pedestrian they initially reported as dead actually survived a collision Saturday evening in Watsonville.
CHP officials received the first report of the collision at 7:53 p.m. at East Lake and Wagner avenues.
The pedestrian was reported dead when officers had been at the intersection only a few minutes. As of 9:50 p.m., the victim was being treated at a hospital and was to be flown to a trauma center for further treatment, a CHP dispatcher said.

The collision was not a hit-and-run. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the intersection.
