Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run
The man was reportedly racing another car before hitting the jaywalking pedestrian, then went on to hit a second car, police say.

WATSONVILLE, CA — A pedestrian was killed Tuesday night in a fatal hit-and-run crash at 9 p.m., the Watsonville Police Department said. Officers said they have received unconfirmed reports that driver Jesus Picos DeLeon, 26, was racing another car in his Acura before the crash.
He hit a second car while fleeing the scene, police said.
Pedestrian Jason Silva, 38, was killed after running across Freedom Boulevard, between Lincoln and Marin streets. He died at the scene, police said.

Silva was jaywalking. A recently renovated crosswalk was a block away, said department spokesperson Michelle Pulido.
DeLeon was booked into jail, where he is held in lieu of $10,000 bail. He was arrested on suspicion of committing a felony hit-and-run charge.
