Price Gouging Reported In Watsonville

Anyone who sees the price of critical goods and services rise more than 10 percent should call police.

WATSONVILLE, CA β€” The Watsonville Police Department said it has received reports of price gouging, an illegal act during a state of emergency.

The City of Watsonville and California have issued emergency declarations in recent days and weeks, respectively.

Police are investigating the reports that vendors raised prices of toilet paper and water by more than 10 percent, which is illegal in the Golden State.
