Projectile-Thrower Hits 47th Car, Reward Upped To $14K: Prunedale
Thanks to money from a concerned citizen and CHP, the reward amount is now $14,000.
MONTEREY COUNTY, CA β The reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest of the person launching projectiles at cars along Highway 101 is now $14,000 β up from $4,000 a week ago β after the 47th car this year was struck by a projectile Thursday evening, KSBW reported.
California Highway Patrol increased the reward to $8,500 the reward after the Thursday incident and a concerned citizen pitched in $5,500, the station reported.
The most recent related report occurred when a car was struck Thursday at 6:30 p.m., between Echo Valley and Bunbarton Roads on Highway 101, KSBW reported. The motorist, who was not injured, initially thought his tires had blown out, but realized his windows had been shot out.

"Life is so precious, whoever is doing this. Think twice please," driver George De Carlvalho told the station.
