PVUSD Welcomes 3 Administrators

Rob Hoffman, Erin Legorreta, and Daniel Jacobsmeyer were approved by the Board of Trustees.

From the Pajaro Valley Unified School District: Pajaro Valley Unified School District is pleased to welcome the following administrators as approved by the Board of Trustees at the June 26 meeting: Rob Hoffman as Assistant Principal with a split position at Watsonville High and Pajaro Valley High; Erin Legorreta as Academic Coordinator at Amesti Elementary; and Daniel Jacobsmeyer as Academic Coordinator at Mar Vista Elementary.

Rob Hoffman fills the vacant administrative positions of Assistant Principal at WHS and PVHS to assist with afterschool and intervention programs. Mr. Hoffman has been serving students of Pajaro Valley since 2009 as a Biology and Integrated Science Teacher. He has served as a K12 Science Curriculum Coach and as Career Technical Education and Science Coordinator for our district. Mr. Hoffman received his Administrative Service Credential and Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from San Jose State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and Teaching Credential from California State University Chico. Among his achievements and grants are: National Science Foundation RPP Co-Principle Investigator, Computer Science; Santa Cruz County Science Lead Steering Committee; Environmental Literacy Initiative; Panama Canal Project: Partnerships for International Research and Education, Teacher Cohort; 21st Century Technology Classroom Grant, Lead Teacher; and Pacific Coast Teacher Innovation Network Grant.

Erin Legorreta is the new Academic Coordinator at Amesti Elementary. Ms. Legorreta has been serving students of Pajaro Valley since 2007 as an elementary teacher at Ohlone Elementary and at Radcliff Elementary for the past 10 years. She received her Administrative Service Credential
from Santa Clara County Office of Education, multiple subject teaching credential and degree in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State University. Ms. Legorreta has been serving as a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Radcliff. In this role, she has advised many student teachers from UCSC, participated in the Cotsen Art of Teaching Foundation, Tech Liaison, member of the site leadership team and planned and organized many fundraisers to help send students to Outdoor Science School.

Daniel Jacobsmeyer is the new Academic Coordinator at Mar Vista Elementary. Mr. Jacobsmeyer has been serving the students of Pajaro Valley since 2005 as an Elementary teacher, Tech Liaison, PBIS team member, and Tech Cadre participant. Mr. Jacobsmeyer is trained in Mindful Schools
curriculum, integrated a variety of technological tools to gain a deeper level of learning and engagement and builds class communities to facilitate socialemotional development. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in US History from UCSC, his multiple subject teaching credential from CSUMB and his administrative services credential from Concordia University.

PVUSD and the Board of Trustees welcome Mr. Hoffman, Mrs. Legorreta and Mr. Jacobsmeyer to their new positions.
