The small earthquake's epicenter was south of Hollister and east of Salinas.
HOLLISTER, CA — A 3.0 magnitude earthquake was reported Monday afternoon, southwest of Hollister.
The tremor was recorded shortly before 4 p.m.
The shake was felt by some in surrounding areas.
