School Starts Today

Summer's over!

Although it still feels like summer, students at Ceiba College Prep and are already back in school. They started last week.

Also, a few schools aren't in session yet. Monte Vista Christian School starts on Tuesday. Linscott Charter School begins Monday, Aug. 27. The county alternative education programs start on Wednesday, Aug. 29. That includes Watsonville Community School, Quetzal, Freedom Community, Success Academy and Esperanza Middle School. Mount Madonna School goes back to class after Labor Day, on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

The best first day of school today may be for the kids at Pacific Coast Charter School, who begin the academic year with a family and teacher picnic at Pinto Lake.
