SEE: Driver Celebrating Friend's 21st Drives Off Slope, CHP Says
The driver and his passenger were found sleeping, come daybreak, the California Highway Patrol said.
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A Honda Accord was discovered Tuesday morning after driving off of an embankment near Sunset Beach, California Highway Patrol — Santa Cruz said.
Farmers walking along the beach discovered the car and saw people sleeping inside. CHP said the driver, 18, was driving around last night, did not see the downhill slope and drove off of the embankment. The driver was celebrating his passenger's 21st birthday, CHP said.
The pair were stuck at the beach.
