State Hwy 17 Closed in Santa Cruz Mountains on Tuesday Morning
Downed power lines to blame.
State Highway 17 in the Santa Cruz Mountains is closed this morning in both directions because of a downed tree and downed power lines, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The CHP issued a Sig-Alert at 4:37 a.m. this morning. Pacific Gas & Electric has been notified, said CHP Officer Peter Van Eckhardt.
There is no estimate as to when the highway will reopen.
