Suspect With 'Violent Criminal History' Sought In Watsonville

WATSONVILLE, CA – Watsonville police detectives are asking the public to call 911 if they see a man wanted for a recent armed robbery at a hotel.

Hilario Contreras, 33, has an active warrant out for his arrest and has a violent criminal history, according to the Watsonville Police Department.

Contreras was caught on surveillance camera last month using a knife to rob a Motel 6 employee late last month, police said. No one was injured during the robbery in the 100 block of Silver Leaf Drive.

Contreras is a transient and police said the public should not approach him due to his violent history.
