Water Line Replacement Scheduled to Begin in July
Water Division's next water main replacement is scheduled to begin first week in July!
The City of Watsonville is committed to providing our community with a safe and reliable water supply. In order to better serve our customers, we are continually upgrading and replacing our water lines for multiple reasons: increased system reliability, reduced water losses due to leaks, and to improve water quality.

The next water line replacement project is located throughout the Watsonville Shopping Center. The project will consist of installing one-half-mile of new water mains, new isolation valves, new hydrants, and new domestic services.

The project start date will be no earlier than July 5th, 2016 and the estimated length of the project is 50-working days. The project will consist of two (2) phases:
- Phase-1:
- Construction schedule: 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
- Anticipated Duration of Work: 25-working days
- Location: From Green Valley Rd. through the back alley way (behind CVS and Nob Hill & neighboring businesses) to the south side of the Nob Hill Building
- Phase-2:
- Construction schedule: 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday
- Anticipated Duration of Work: 25-working days
- Location: – From the south side of the Nob Hill Building across parking lot to the signal light on Main St.
