Watsonville Car Wash Carjacking: SEE

Watch this video of a man getting his car stolen while vacuuming his car at a Watsonville car wash.

WATSONVILLE, CA — Police said they have arrested three men who carjacked a man while he vacuumed his car at a Watsonville car wash.

The man was vacuuming at a car wash in the 900 block of Main Street last Thursday when the men drove up alongside him in two cars, boxing him in, police said.

Manuel Hernandez, 18, threatened to shoot the man if he didn't relinquish his car keys, police said. The man gave Hernandez his keys and Hernandez drove off in the man's car, police said.

Watsonville police said officers spotted Hernandez and Joel Vazquez, 29, near the scene of the carjacking and arrested them later that night. The man's car was returned to him.

On Wednesday, police found and arrested Raul Leal, 23, who drove a car that boxed the man in, police said.

All three men are facing felony charges, police said.
