How To Report Illegal Fireworks In Watsonville
If you're caught in possession of illegal fireworks, you could be fined $1,000, police said.
WATSONVILLE, CA β The Watsonville Police Department will begin focusing on illegal fireworks use beginning Friday.
Police said officers will be entirely dedicated to illegal fireworks. Anyone caught possessing or lighting illegal fireworks will face a $1,000 fine.
Police ask the public to call 911 if they see fireworks posing a hazard and call 831-471-1151 to report illegal fireworks. Be prepared to state the location, whether the fireworks were ground or aerial and whether they pose a hazard.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: If the packaging on your fireworks does NOT have the following seal, then theyβre considered illegal.
Those who are caught igniting or in possession of illegal fireworks will be fined $1,000.
